This Christmas I figured I would try my had at a mini album, I wanted to make one pretty bad and I knew my mom would really appreciate one. So I decided to take some of my favorite photos from the wedding and create her Chirstmas gift. My mom was a huge help in making sure my wedding was a success and I love to give her gifts at Christmas that tug at her heart strings. This year of course would not be an exception to that.
I created the below album as her gift and gave it to her on Christmas, it was a complete tear jerker for her and she absolutely loved it.

My December Daily
I decided to participate for the very first year in Ali Edwards December Daily project. I know over the past few years, I have not been in the Christmas spirit per say, I really was just going through the emotions. I wanted something to remind me about the joy and the love I used to have for Christmas, I used to enjoy it so much. I'm hoping to use this as more of a journal, each day will be Christmas related in one form or another. I'm excited, I want to share my favorite memories from Christmas past, traditions that my family has always had and maybe journal about the new traditions I hope to start with our family.
Here's my December Journal completed and ready to be filled. I kept it real simple but I'm happy with the way it turned out. I just used three jump rings for the binding and tied a Christmas ribbon to each ring...a Bind-It-All is on my Christmas list so keep your fingers crossed for me. The outside is chipboard covered with a pattern paper and the interior pages are all recycled manila office folders. The tag on the cover is another manila folder that I cut down, added a calendar of Dec 2010, a safety pin with tree charm and a simple green and white ribbon. The word journal is just die cut letters in a green patterned paper and then I added some white ink to the sides to give it a little dimension. I also inked the edges of the interior pages with red brick distress ink. The album size is 6x8 and once I start filling it I'll have to share the inside pages.
What do you think?

Christmas Spirit
Wow, September 15th, that was my last post, I am a horrible blogger, I pretty much suck. LOL I think this is what attempt #3 to get on track and post on a regular basis, I need to get my behind off Facebook and back blogging. But every since I did my Facebook business page I tend to not post business over here. Everyone is on Facebook now....
So let's get in to my post....Happy December!!!
I bought all new silver Christmas tree decorations from IKEA this year, I wanted something simple and I think it turned out great.
ISO 100 F/5.6 SS 1.3 sec. - I love how I started to get the sparkle, I need to work on my Bokeh a little.
My new IKEA decorations.
And like most everything at IKEA they had to be put together. My kiddos took care of that for me.
The kids were such good helpers, they did a great job on the tree.

Expecting Cadence - Maternity Session - Richmond, TX
I had the pleasure of meeting the All American Family...I say that because she's a nurse and he's a fire fighter. They are the cutest couple expecting their first baby.

Potential...She just might have it.....
Well I am doing good with every other day I see, I had yesterday's post all planned out in my head but we were at my daughter's volleyball practice and I by the time I got home I was just too tire to blog. So the post I had planned will be delayed.
I will however talk about my oldest daughter Alexis, she will be 16 in September and is just one of the lights of my life. She's outgoing and crazy as I don't know what, but so full of personality, and I love her so. She's very athletic and very much into volleyball. She plays for her high school but is in the process of trying out to be on a club team. A very expensive investment might I add, I say investment because she could have a chance, if she's good enough to get scholarships during her seasons playing club....free money for college, YES, where do I sign up? lol

Every Other Day....Hey It's a start....
Yesterday I was not able to blog, since we had to head over to our wedding videographer's house and proof our wedding video, so coming back the day after is still good for me. Shoot I was blogging once a month at the most before, so this people is a break through.
For those of you that do not know, I recently got married, May 1st to be exact and I feel like the day just flew by. But watching the video just made me feel so good about it all. It's a wonderful and magical way for me to live that day anytime I want to. I have to admit that our videographer did an awesome job way more than I expected and oh so beautiful.
I also received the first CD from my wedding photographer in the mail today. AMAZING is all I can say about her too. Well actually there were three and they all did a great job.
So again tonight blog world I leave you with no pictures, why you ask because I am too lazy to be honest. I posted some cake smash photos over on my Facebook page if you want to go check those out.
Don't worry tomorrow will be pictures....I have it all planned out in my head already.
Chow for now!

Weekend Recap...
I am the worst at blogging, we all know that now, but I think's it because I really tried to keep it business related. Then Facebook came along and I posted more there, it's way more active. Then I thought I would make my own personal blog, but then I realized that would be two blogs that I would have to maintain and I can hardly handle one.
Now I decided I would just blog here with just whatever I felt like it, no more rules no more seriousness....it's out the door.
Today is day one, of my blogging about whatever I want!
So let's get this show on the road......no sure if you all want to know about my life but I figure I'll write and you either read or you don't, it's that simple. LOL.
My weekend recap....let me say this my 5 day weekend recap was nice. My weekend started Thursday with the surround sound installation for my husband (his birthday present), then Friday I made the crazy decision to venture out into the rain to take the kids to the museum....needless to say I didn't make it back to the northside until 5:30pm, I left the museum district at 2:45pm, yeah you do the math.
Saturday we pretty much did nothing...Donovan got ready to go to Alabama (his baseball double A team is playing in the Little League World Series), Sonja and Izaiah went to their dads and we (Justin, Alexis and me) were lazy, as lazy as you can be. Sunday we headed out to Sugar Land and relaxed by the pool late into the night and then Monday my sweat husband took me to see Eclipse, he was not impressed and I don't think I will be able to get him to the next one....
So I leave you with that, no pictures, just boring randonmess about my life.....
(by the way, this feels great)

Neglected isn't even the word for this blog...
Life just took an awesome turn for me and I got so wrapped up in planning my wedding, that I neglected my blog. It was hard working my regular full-time job, handling the household and motherly duties plus planning a wedding. Then on top of all that, running a business as well, whew, it took a lot out of me. But now I am back and hoping to stay current. I do have a few sessions that I plan to share with you that I did during my blogging hiatus, lol.
Stay tuned I promise to get on track.
