Layout Share & Sneak Peek a "Mr 1 Derful" aka Nathan

So here is my last layout to share, I am super busy right now editing all these pictures and creating these idea badges for the YFF (Youth Football Federation & Cheer).  I may not get to scrap for another week or so, I might try to sneak something in this weekend.  I really want to kill the August kit.

This layout "You Can't Spell GAME Without ME" is of one of my son's, last year was his first year playing football for middle school and he is so serious about the game.  He is a very competitive kid anyways and he's good at just about any sport.  We decided the regular cookie cutter school football picture just wasn't going to be good enough so I took him out to a field and did my own session with him.  The mood of the picture really shows this attitude and confidence about playing the game so I knew this quote would go perfect for this picture.

It's really simple but I wanted the picture and the title to be the main focus I wanted the whole mood of the page to be based on the picture.

And now a little sneak peek of my nephew who is turning one next month.  I did his first birthday pictures and his cake smash this past Sunday so I thought I would share a few of his pictures.  I have plenty more to edit but I wanted to share his pure cuteness now.

His birthday theme that I help my sister-in-law come up with is a super hero one but he is the super hear called MR 1 DERFUL....we wanted something fun and different and this is the cutest theme. I cannot wait to share his party after happens.

Circle Hearts Layout & 2 Free Silhouette Shape

I shared a couple of shapes I made with a few people and I keep getting requests for them so I figured I would post a quick layout using one of the shapes and then just post a link there to download them to make it easier on myself.

I made this layout last night of my nephew and I using the circles with hearts background.  I cut off three random circles and placed them on the top and bottom of the page.  I also used some of the colorful tape I picked up at Target, it's thicker than a lot of washi tape but it still tears easily BUT it does no come off as easy it will tear your paper.  It's just not as easy to reposition as real washi tape.

Sorry but I took these with my iPhone, my area is such a disaster I didn't want to fool with getting my 7d out and taking the picture and editing it, needless to say I was being lazy.

Below you will find the links to download the free shapes.  The star one looks exactly like this only instead of hearts the circles are filled with stars.  I hope you enjoy....  I would love to see what you do with this, so please feel free to link back to this or email me and I can update this post with a link to your page.

Super Nathan - 4 Months Old

I love my little nephew and everytime I get to spend a day with him I just want to photograph him in a cute way.  When we visited Fiesta Texas back in October, my mom picked up this cute superman onezie and I won him a superman cape and I picked up this cute superman hat, I knew then there would be a photo op in the future.

Catching Up - Day 10, 11 & 12 - 25 Days of Christmas

Okay so the weekend had me busy, I went to a Christmas party with my mom, we took family pictures on Sunday (don't get me started on that).  I was just so busy I never sat down to edit any thing.  I was doing so good too.  Oh well at least I took the pictures, that is an accomplishment in it's self.

Day 10 - Tiffany, My Mom & Me - Headed to the KBR Christmas Party

Day 11 - The Whole Family

**Quote from my brother about our big family picture " Tiffany and I look like the cracker neighbors that just jumped in the picture" LOL...I love my brother.

And when we did the picture of just the grand kids, my sister-in-law sang "one of these are not like the others...."  My little nephew is the one not of mixed race...

Day 12 - Our Christmas Tree
I'm really happy with how it looks this year, I love the new colors I chose.

Baby Name Blocks - Nursery Decor & Some Cute Onezies I Made - All For Baby Nathan

Okay so to follow up on my previous post, I talked about being unable to finish the gifts for Tiffany my sister-in-law....WELL, I'm back to tell you about the gifts.  I made a few and I purchased something as well.

To give a little background, my brother and Tiffany went with a nautical themed nursery.  Hence the nautical themed shower.....she was able to use a lot of the things I created in his room.  I'll be heading out to their house this weekend so I can get some pictures of his nursery before he gets here.  Here is what his bedding looks like......

Item number 1....
Now, I kept the theme in mind and ran across the cutest sign on amazon, since the room is nautical then deck signs would be appropriate. Right?  Well I found a Poop Deck brass sign....and of course I envisioned it properly mounted over his changing table.  And that is exactly where it is. Here is what the sign looked like when I bought it...

My brother did mount it to some stained wood and it really does look cute in his room.

So on to Item number 2..... the main part - the title to this post...

THE NAME BLOCKS...
I made wood blocks to read Nathan Ray to display in his room.  I  and I decoupaged nautical items on each side to match the nautical decor of his nursery.  I'm really happy with the way they turned out, I wanted them simple and I wanted them to coordinate.  The wood was a little rough in some places and had some dings but after I finished, I took a step back and realized I liked them that way, it gave them some charactor. They were very easy to make.  I had some one cute the wood blocks for me, since I do not have a saw, yet...It's on my list.  And I painted them a solid khaki color, then I cute letters and various shapes using my cricut.  I then glued the letters and shapes on and covered them with a decoupage glue to seal.  They turned out so cute!

Now.....Item number 3

I wanted to personalize some onzies for my new nephew, so I made these.  They are in various sizes and the black one being the smallest, so hopefully as soon as he gets here he can wear that one because we all know he will be awesome!  The white one is just an iron on decal I found at Hobby Lobby, I love frogs so when I saw this I knew it needed to be on a onezie for him.  And then of course there is the blue one, my favorite and I am sure it will be his as well.  The "Aunt" part was done with a stencile the same way I did the Really Awesome Dad shirt in this post HERE

Well that about sums up the goodies.....later gator!
